Matthew Matt James, born on December 5, 1991, in North Carolina. He is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. Her mother is caucasian and his father is Nigerian. His father is Nigerian and his mother caucasian American. He completed his studies at Sanderson High School in 2010 and then attended Wake Forest University, where earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in 2015. James became famous when he became a reality television star in The Bachelorette. James was chosen in 2020 to be the next bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's debut African American male star. The season premiered later that year. James was the ideal fit to play the role. He's tall and handsome, with the right sense of humor. Rachael Krakconnell, whom was his girlfriend throughout the season. In 2021 he partnered with famous dancer Arnold for the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold were ranked 12th.
